ABOUT ME

 

I am looking forward to teaching science and math at RCMS this year!  I have grown up in Reidsville and lived here my entire life except for when I moved to Boone to attend Appalachian State University.  In my free time I am usually with family and friends, at church, outside, reading or cooking.   I have two wonderful horses, Patrick (pictured to the right) and Festus.  I also have two chocolate Labs, Smokey and Lilly.   

 

 I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Middle School Education with concentrations in math and science.  I chose the middle grades because I want to make an impact on the future of these young adolescents.  Middle school students are in one of the most important stages of their lives and the decisions that they make are critical to their futures.  Students need positive support and guidance to make wise decisions in their academic and personal lives.  As a teacher, I am going to strive to provide this positive support and guidance.
